We Are Neurologically Connected

We are Neurologically connected!

Often we focus only on specific body parts, like when something hurts, we want to make it stop and welcome a fix where someone does something to take the pain away. What are we forgetting though? It’s remembering that the sum of all our parts makes up the whole, so it’s the entirety of us and not just the part that hurts.

Yes, pain finally got our attention! Was it due to a trauma that blindsided us or was it a movement pattern we tuned out until the issue, unaddressed, crossed the tipping point? Have you ceased moving to protect yourself while keeping this static approach? This static, holding approach only creates more compensatory habits that in time will create more problems in muscular activation instead of finding a more balanced, less contracted skeletal support.

All the movements you make are neurologically connected into your neocortex, it’s how you access your brain and nervous system. When you can approach how you move, it’s best to slow the process down instead of push harder into the resistance. Especially when an issue developed over time, sometimes over decades of sub-concious patterns. Find a more ideal way to approach this sort of problem and find easier and more efficient resolutions.

Awareness Through Movement (ATM)® lessons do just that. The lessons awaken you to slow the process down, pay gentle attention to how you do what you do. Start with your eyes, are they narrowly focused or can you create a soft and gentle opening? Softly listen to your breathing, can you discern a difference from when you inhale compared to exhale and where within you do you feel a change? What about your hands, are they continually contracted in a folding pattern or stretched open? Did you know your hands are connected to your involuntary emotional state and by noticing what you do with your hands, you can change how you feel, happy or angry, frustrated, or relieved?

“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” – Bruce Lee

There are four afternoon ATM lessons to tap into this week. These lessons can “on demand” change your state to a more relaxed, effective, efficient and comfortable way of being. It’s in your hands to take the step and join in. If you are not currently receiving my weekly ATM links for classes, reach out and I’ll gladly include you in the mailings. When the timing is right you can join for monthly classes or simply pop in as your schedule permits. Each class you attend also includes the audio file to download and enjoy at your leisure.

Wishing you dreams come true and finding your true essence!
