Better Choices
This dance of life I speak of, full of challenges and adversity as well as hopefully enough of positive experiences, are the things that teach us and help us to make choices. These choices and questions refine how we live and the new choices we make. We develop values, everything informs and influences us, how we were raised, customs, traditions… we grow and are learning and affected by these influences. There are times as we develop, we begin to challenge these values to create new ways of behaving, creating our own voice and beliefs. This is the process how we dig deeper to question what’s important to us. We learn to rely on our values.
Change is the only constant, it comes and when you learn how to become more self-aware, tuning in through observations, sensing and feeling within as well as what is going on around you, then your strengths will awaken as to what are the best options and paths to follow. In a sense, you are your values and living them will always enhance your personal balance of how you move through this dance of life.
What if you began to look at challenges and adversities as something that helps you develop your skills to improve, awaken and move forward with more suitable choices to chose from. So many stories are out these as to how someone moved beyond the limitations they were born into to become who we know them to be today. Discovering the skills to differentiate higher quality choices is what the Feldenkrais Method® is about.
While I am on the road, I welcome you to visit my YouTube channel to explore a wide variety of Awareness Through Movement (ATM)® lessons. You can find them under the Learning menu tab on the website. This is the process, to allow without judgment how to continue to refine what you choose to do right now to help you create your own improvements, observing how you are exploring your daily life. Take one little baby step forward, explore something outside of your known to sense and feel the potential of improvement. Maybe it will awaken a bit more balance in you physically, mentally and emotionally. Exploring The Feldenkrais Method® is a wonderful, satisfying way to take one little baby step into your finding more ease, comfort and possibilities in your dance of life. Keep dancing!
