The Learning Process

The Learning Process

Carl G. Jung shared that “life begins at 40 and up until then, you are just doing research.

I find this interesting. With forty years of living we have wired into us repetitive habits and patterns. Often we are not aware of how these patterns and movements interrupt our daily lives. Most of the time, repetitive motions go by without you realizing it, until, eventually pain creeps into the picture. At this point all you know is the pain, but don’t realize where it came from.

What the Feldenkrais Method® helps to do is, unwind the movements that, over a long period of time pushed your body farther than it was meant to go.

Dr. Feldenkrais chose to create improvement through revisiting the movements we all explored as infants. The initial founding, developmental steps that moved us forward. Awareness Through Movement (ATM)® lessons guide you into this process, instructing you how to avoid moving into your learned behaviors of doing. Just as it took a long time to acquire a sub-conscious pattern of movement, learning how to find better options of motion takes curiosity and practice.

I hope you will join me this week for 3 afternoon lessons to tap back into this process of slowing down to notice actually what you are doing to either keep you in your habits or offer more options to notice and create improved ease, comfort and enjoyment in your lives. When you move with greater ease, you feel better. And when you feel better, for sure you’ll have more energy and potency to do the things that you really want to experience, go where you maybe thought it wasn’t possible. The learning is within you.

Keep moving forward, learning is your process of finding more solutions and options as we progress into the end of this year.

Warmest,

Peggi
