The Art of NOT Forcing
Wu Wei is a Tao approach to awaken “The Art of NOT forcing”
It’s the week of Thanksgiving so find those things that bring a smile to your face. Experiment in finding a focus that allows a change to happen without trying to do anything to improve. The improvements will awaken when we remove the desire to achieve and make it happen. Can you be in the space of not knowing while you take your gentle attention to those things that you would want to happen. That enables each person to find a pathway into ease, to allow instead of pushing.
I shared with my students that I will be taking this week to rest, explore at the beach and renew my thoughts, energy, my mind and body to awaken this sense of not doing, the absence of forcing, Wu Wei to renew this pathway of ease and allowance.
I will return and resume my ATM classes and private sessions at the end of the week, on Saturday. I hope you will be exploring from all the lessons you’ve explored learning a way to listen. What is the lesson for you today? Just begin to get into a position to rest, scan your contact with the surface and begin with whatever you remember. It doesn’t have to be an entire lesson, it’s the movements of a lesson that you remember in a felt way. In the intentions of not doing or forcing, be in the present moment to allow, and find the gentle and easy movement. You can rest, to sense and feel the improvement that awakens when we remove the intention to do.
Cultivate a field of gratitude which grows through the power of your own attention in finding your pathway of ease, comfort and improvement. It’s time to sense and feel in an improved way. You have to begin to recognize what is happening without judgement, to find better options when your hardwired patterns are not serving you.
