Learning To Love New Ideas

Learning To Love New Ideas

Rounding out another year, I am finding increased appreciation for the work I do, how much I’ve learned from you and how this process never ends. Finding new ways to move through the world is an endless journey. I continue to study all the time. I have different teachers who approach The Feldenkrais Method® in slightly different ways. For me, it is the way I get a well rounded understanding of the work. Like you, when I set out to learn something new I make sure to bring curiosity and commitment.

Join me this week and enjoy a series of ATM virtual group lessons. You can schedule a one on one Virtual as well as Functional Integration® sessions, tailored to your needs. Together we explore movements to set you on your way with what lies ahead. Allow me to share what I have been learning and see how I’m still awakening to new insights through this way of thinking, I speak of as Feldenkraisian. It’s more a mindset that awakens how to listen and enjoy this process of learning, evolving, adapting to find more effective ways to overcome obstacles. You will find your movement is informed through a process of following guided movement patterns. Awareness Through Movement (ATM)® opens the doorway with an intimate way of listening, asking better questions, inquiries that lead to solutions especially if dealing with challenges. In addition I have begun to enjoy the pleasure being invited to speak in podcasts, this is a really wonderful way to create a conversation with many, to share and grow.

“Be brave, take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.” – Paulo Goelh, Brazilian lyricist and novelist

We are turning the corner as the winter solstice brings a little bit more daylight with every day. And with the New Years approaching, allow this to be a turning point and explore something new, something different moving forward. Maybe it’s a specific ATM you like but in the exploration, it’s different and you’re finding solutions. Please join me for Tuesday, Friday and/or Saturday classes this week. Ask the question where you might be applying too much force to overcome something. A more forceful approach costs in the long run, you lose your sensitivity, creativity and coordination is greatly reduced. Welcome a little different kind of thinking and learn choices that awaken possibilities.

“In my lessons the student learns to listen to the instructions while he is actually carrying out an exercise and to make the necessary adjustments without stopping the movement itself. In this way he learns to act while he thinks and to think while he acts.” – Moshe Feldenkrais, ATM pg 160

I wish you all the very best this week and as we move forwards with improved health, happiness, peace, love and understanding.

And I hope I have earned the privilege of your time.

Warmest,

Peggi
