A State of Gratitude

A State of Gratitude

Look at what you have and build a gratitude practice, because that’s how you become who you want to be.  Take time to recognize how so many started from humble beginnings and found ways to persevere, dream, hope, wish, and accomplish so much. They take action instead of staying stuck in looping thoughts without doing anything. It starts with how you guide and direct your mind.  We can always recognize what we don’t have, but pausing to ask what you do have to be grateful for is the first step to realizing what is possible.  What you tell yourself matters, so listen to your internal conversation: is it helping or hindering your progress?

Start at the beginning and build your skills from there.  This helps you better understand your strengths and what else needs attention.  How do you begin a sincere, consistent daily practice to change what you want to change?  Make it about more than just yourself; make it about good for all.  This is how we, as a society, help grow an honorable future.  Approach this practice by first recognizing what you have, then comparing it with what you want to change. This acceptance keeps you moving forward with gratitude, creating a vibrational pattern within your cells. This vibrational field grows and shifts your outcome from hoping and wishing to taking action that creates a new future.

This is a habit I practice and want to share with those interested.  I’ve noticed people, whether they came from greater support or didn’t have the bootstraps to pull themselves out of the situation they were born into, take action and become the real doers who create huge change for the better of all.  Their life stories help me recognize and resonate with people like Oprah Winfrey, Martha Beck, Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, Mel Robbins, and Muhammad Ali.  I borrow quotes from so many others. They share what has worked for them to enlighten and enable others to find their true voice and make their dreams come true.

“Intuition is a very powerful thing, more powerful than intellect.” – Steve Jobs

We now see that where you went to school and how far you went in your education don’t always make you more honorable.  Education is important, but does it create more intelligence, or, better said, wisdom?  Developing your awareness of your own intuition is more potent than intellect, as we can see in our current state of affairs: something is missing in those who think only of their own aggrandizement.  What have you done today for another that wasn’t about your own personal gain, but simply to give to someone less fortunate, to help them dream and believe something is possible?

“We must go beyond the arrogance of human rights.  We must go beyond the ignorance of civil rights.  We must step into reality of natural rights.  Because all the natural world has a right to existence, and we are only a small part of it.  There can be no trade-off.” – John Trudell, Santee Dakota

We make choices every day, but are we aware of it?  Are you comparing the choice, and more often your habitual way of doing things, to another option?  Asking questions is most important. What questions do you ask yourself?  That’s how you create lasting change, improvement, and become in flow.  Remember, it’s all about learning!

“For the things we have to learn before we can do, we learn by doing.” – Aristolte

I hope I’ve earned the privilege of your time and attention this week and wish you the gift of living in a state of gratitude.

Warmest,

Peggi
