Synchronicity
Synchronicity
Carl Jung, the renowned Swiss psychiatrist, introduced the concept of synchronicity, which refers to the experience of two or more events that appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection. In life, there are many meaningful coincidences you may recognize.
How do you make sense of these experiences? Synchronicity reveals a deeper psychological process and offers insights into personal experiences. Jung’s theory of synchronicity posits that the mind and external world are interconnected and, in fact, transcend the concept of cause and effect.
In The Feldenkrais Method®, we learn everything is connected. Your mind and thoughts create your body, and how you act, as every thought contains a muscular contraction. For change to occur, you have to learn from your past.
Reflect for a moment on what you are focused on; your thoughts, are they positive, negative, or neutral? Do you want these thoughts to happen, or do you hope for the opposite? Become aware and mindful of your thoughts and where they take you mentally, emotionally and physically. Notice how this makes you feel. Your beliefs, wired into your way of being, if unchanged, create your present and future. A belief can change if you are curious about finding an alternative outcome.
“The essential in learning is to become able to recognize the unwanted faint motivations and to discard them. Learning is not the training of willpower, but the acquisition of the skill to inhibit parasitic action and the ability to direct clear motivation as a result of self-knowledge. Through awareness, we can learn to move with astonishing lightness and freedom-at almost any age-and thereby improve our living circumstances, not only physically…but emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.” Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais
I share these thoughts this week as I have shifted my perspective on today’s world and focused more on my personal journey. Through asking better questions and taking congruent actions, the synchronicity of what I wanted came my way.
This created an analogy similar to Awareness Through Movement (ATM)® as well as Functional Integration (FI)® sessions, with renewed intention, this created a huge improvement. Everything was in sync and through this shift of sharing and communicating the congruent desire, it came to pass. It required letting go of a held belief, pausing and creating another, more positive thought that synchronicity magically happened. As I share, if I can have this experience, you can too, it’s about the universe listening and responding to your wish.
You can always go back to your older beliefs that serve you well. Also, continue to create newer beliefs and habits to support you as you move forward. Dream of what you want and not what you are afraid of, and find how the universe is listening and will support you. Be congruent and find your pathway forward into life.
I hope I have earned the privilege of your time and attention, and look forward to connecting when you are ready.
Warmest,
Peggi
